Moving up in the world….

We have had a bout with Pink Eye the past 2 weeks and I am thinking we are finally over it….. (cross my finger)   :P

Emily has had fun in school the past week she has learned about Indians and Pilgrims and the First Thanksgiving.  Her class will have their Thanksgiving Feast this coming Tuesday and I will get to go in and help with it.  I’m excited to get to meet all her little friends she tells me so much about.

Brandon is becoming quite the little reader.  It seems that over night he went from the little boy who said he couldn’t read it if “the words were too little” or there were more than two sentences to a page…. to the little boy who is now reading Nate The Great and The High Rise Mysteries.  I think soon we will start him on the Magic Tree House books.  Yeah!

Alyssa is growing in leaps and bounds these days.  I suppose that’s what you get when you are 9 months old.  Last week one day she just up and crawled across the floor.  We still get a belly scoot now and then (mostly when she wants mom to pick her up).  She also began to pull up to standing on things.  It’s a good thing we lowered her mattress because she pulled up to standing one day after her nap and we found her just standing in her crib waiting for someone to come get her out.  she hasn’t quite mastered sitting down from standing so she  can get pretty mad when she is left standing for a long time with no attention.  But other than that she is getting all over… crawling and sitting becoming quite the little explorer.  I think she’s also getting her top teeth, she’s been pretty cranky the past few days and I can feel a tooth under her gums but it hasn’t poked through yet.  Hopefully soon so we can have our happy, joyful Alyssa back.

And a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there.  Don’t forget to enjoy the little things that we take for granted daily!

I can’t believe how fast our little babies grow. Owen is not crawling yet, but rolls a lot and scoots a little. That’s great that Alyssa is crawling. She is such a doll!
