Celebration of Life

Yesterday was an exciting day…. Amelia came back to Sigurd with her cake and set it up for a reception in honor of Grandma and Grandpas life together.  We were able to get there a little early to help out with whatever we could.  The kids enjoyed playing with their cousins and it was so much fun to see Amelia beaming as she visited with grandma’s friends and family as she told them of the beautiful story behind her cake!

On the other end of the spectrum….

Alyssa cut her first tooth the same day.  She has been a pretty cranky baby the past few weeks while chewing and drooling on everything.  Yesterday we finally felt the tips of her first tooth.  It is the bottom right tooth.  It’s still so very small and she is very protective of her mouth so we have not got a picture of it yet. But here she is in all her beauty.

She is nearly 8 months, sits and rolls and even has started to scoot around a bit.  If there is a toy just a few inches out of her reach she can get scooted to it…. depending on her mood.  :)

Welcome to the first day of October… we are so excited for this month!  Not only if it fall with cooler days (sweater weather :) ) and beautiful colors…. but we have plans for our big trip this month.  YEAH!  Watch for many pictures from our fun.

Ugh, teething sucks. But I’m glad you’re taking it all in stride. I love October, too! And the anniversary celebration sounds like the best of times.
