Not many pictures to add this time around.  Just thought I’d pop in and write about what’s been up.

Emily is so excited to start Kindergarten this year…. we’ve been counting down on a calendar and she still thinks it is so far away (she starts the 25th).  We’ve been gearing up and decided to stock up on erasers and paper and folders and such.  I know… I know… she’s just in Kindergarten and she won’t use it for school… but it’s always good to have that stuff around for something to do. 

Brandon is getting to be such a good reader just like Emily…. and he get’s plenty of practice reading to Alyssa, when he can get some time alone with her.  I think he’ll adjust just fine to Emily being gone for part of the day…. it’ll give him his own one-on-one time with Alyssa ad mom.

Alyssa is getting so big.  She turned 6 months last Friday.  We’ve started her on cereals and she’s so funny, she makes silly noises when she opens her mouth and is waiting for her next bite.  As always it is a pretty messy process but she’s learning.    She has never enjoyed her tummy time… in the past she’s managed a roll from her tummy to her back but mostly it ends in crying with her face planted in the ground.  So I was pretty surprised this afternoon when I went to get her up from her nap and she was on her belly.  So I brought her down and laid her on her tummy and she rolled all around the living room floor.  Mind you… they were slow and very thought out rolls, but she was so cute and so excited when she would roll and be back on her back .  I think we’re off to the races now!  It’s all down hill from here.  Soon she’ll be crawling and walking, then running and jumping and getting into everything.  What fun!
