We have had a great past two days.
First thing, friday morning, we started off with swimming at the pool with our friends. It was so much fun getting to play on all the great water toys and slides they have at our pool, and we all got to go down the big water slide. It was so much fun for everyone! (Sorry no pictures of this… next time)
Then that evening we had our annual Neighborhood Summer Bash. It was just as much fun this year as it was last year. Tons of great food, bouncy toys, fun music and dancing, and this year we even got to stay up and watch the movie (Enchanted). We all had so much fun and by the time we got home we were ready for bed.
Saturday morning our friends called us again and asked if we were up for a hike. We just couldn’t turn them down, it sounded like so much fun. So we got ready as quick as we could and headed up Big Cottonwood Canyon, to hike Doughnut Falls. I’m sure it would have been a beautiful hike, but can you imagine…. the trail was still covered in snow just one day shy of June! Isn‘t it summer yet? But we did have a nice walk from the main road up to the trailhead. It was still fun times with our friends. We’re excited for many more hikes throughout the sumer months.
Here are a couple more pics of our hike
Then again… later saturday evening we had our friends over to our house for a delicious dinner (thanks Dave) and more fun. We played on the Wii and the kids played outside. What a fun beginning of the summer!

Looks like fun! Crazy about the snow, though– winter’s really hanging on there, eh? So weird to think about snow when we’ve had 90s here this weekend.

Look at all that snow! I can’t believe it. The neighborhood party was fun. I wish we could’ve stayed longer, but Benson was way too tired.
