We have two little book worms that love to hang out in the front room with the book shelf. Sometimes a trail of books can be found… but mostly the books not being read are where they belong.
Emily has been reading her own books since September of 2007 (she started reading lessons beginning of 2007).
Brandon started his lessons sometime the end of last year (2007). We still have not finished his lessons… but he can read first level books by himself.
Emily loves to read books from the Magic Tree House Series, Beatrix Potter books, and books from an Illustrated Classics Series we got her for Christmas.
Brandon Loves to read Storybook Collections from both Dick and Jane and Biscuit.
Emily is more of a book worm than Brandon at this point… but it may just be that she’s been practicing a lot longer and has a longer attention span than he has.
