Today was simply a normal day.. nothing real exciting happened.. nothing real out of the ordinary either.. just another simple day! A Beautiful day at that. We had temperatures in the low 60’s.. a very nice day for spending time outdoors.
A few things we did:
Brandon read me a book (he was so proud of himself); and hugged me and told me he loved me. I caught him trying to soothe Alyssa (doing a very good job I might add). He really just can’t get enough of her (he’ll turn out to be a great daddy (just like his daddy)).
Emily went to school, read Brandon some books, wished she could have caught Alyssa relaxing in her swing so she could read a book or two to her also. Swears up and down that a belly rub is a cure all for baby cries. She learned that clouds float in the sky because they are full of water.
They played with friends; laughed at silly faces Alyssa made; and got into plenty of trouble together.
Alyssa slept and ate and ate and slept.. she did spend an hour here or there awake, but mostly she just slept (she’s 5 weeks old and growing you know). She did take an adventure to Emily’s preschool to see all the Moms and got plenty of praise.
Whereas, Mike played some basketball; then worked and worked, and worked some more. He is such a dedicated father and works hard to care for all of us. We love him sooooo much!
And I, didn’t do enough chores; held my baby way to much; took an hour away to visit with some friends; and felt great after a good workout session. Overall a pretty good day. Like I said not much excitement to speak of just a nice simple day
